Fridays ramblings... very short
So im trying to think about what I did yesterday..... in the big picture not alot. I did spend about 4 hours on the phone with customers, replying to emails and talking business with other vendors. Man time flies and in some cases I just cant talk and work at the same time (spray booth room, exhaust fans, spray gun and headset don't mix).
So I do remember (must be the paint fumes) sanding a few things..... masking a few things.... priming a few things... shipping a few things but really it was a phone day as I call it. As much as it needs to happen it doesn't always result in sales. Guess we will see though since you never know. I have had a customer call me a year later to get a car done. Its weird that way sometimes.
If ya'll remember I commented on advertising a while back. I did approve a nice 1/3 page ad in a Corvette magazine. Got a great price so it was well worth it. I opted not to go with the TV commercial but had another weekly car show company contact me about the same thing. They are located in the NE and have a larger customer base. They were priced ALOT higher but in reality at least 40-50% of my customers are on the east coast. I dunno, its a tough call but I did tell them if they could come up with something less expensive I would be interested. He said he will get back to me.
I also received the vendor paperwork for the WOW (World Of Wheels) show held here in January. Now I have done Good-Guys shows which are huge and had good results in the long run but never AT the show. This is a little different..... its much smaller.... but has been held here for 39 years. It is a 1972 and older show which I like.... and is about half the cost of a Good-Guys event. Plus is driving distance instead of trekking 8-10 hours and staying in a hotel 2 nights. I might do it...... but it ends on the 13th which is the opening day for BJ's yearly event in Scottsdale. decisions decisions.... LOL.
OK , thats really it.....so.......
Im out.......
