Happy New year... or should I say.. BE GONE 2007 !!!

OK......... I haven't blogged lately. Couple reasons of which I will only go into one. Im sick..... yep , Mr I Love AZ is sick....... apparently I touched something or someone breathed to close to me cause I am sick. Flu, cold I don't know and I don't care just feel like shit and was actually awake from midnight on Thursday night so I was like a walking Zombie yesterday. I haven't felt good all week and have had some other personal things arise that took time away from working on projects.
First off, Jeff aka Cudaguy, your Minis and VP box will leave Monday if...... and only if, the UPS drop location is open. It wasn't open on Xmas Eve so if it doesn't leave it will no later then Wednesday.
I welcome a customer who came back from missing in action, David, glad to see your alive and kicking. I have a couple projects that I started for him and one is a current edition Mustang done like Eleanor. Lots of hand fabricating on that one and I will hopefully post pictures soon. His other MAJOR project is converting a Nissan Skyline into a Silva. This project includes changing the A pillars on the roof line too.
OK...... so I apparently have a computer problem as every time I upload a picture my computer closes my internet explorer connection. Im not sure whats up with that but I might have to make a call. I was trying to post a picture of the "other" Roush Mustang I did that for the guy who had the Blackjack version done a couple months ago. This one included making a flat no scoop stock hood, windows in place of the roof vents and some interior paint work, engine detailing and a wheel swap. Remember the one I couldn't find wheels for then found some on a Jaguar that would work, thats the car.
Below is his fathers car and now it seems as though my uploads are working so I will post his car later and delete this one.
OK.... So I got the picture to upload. Note this is a flat hood, windows for 1/4 vents and different wheels and calipers. Sadly no sun for the pictures but I will reshoot them in sun before the car ships Monday.
So we are approaching the end of the year and isn't there some saying about if the year ends bad it means next year will be great ? Well I sure the hell hope so as this year is ending about as bad as it could. I personally had my worse month EVER in this business. Worse.....total gross paid on projects was a joke. Now I did change something a few months ago in regard to being paid and that did have something to do with it but having 11 contracts cancel with a total of about $2000 in deposit money really killed business. I cant complain about not having alot of finished project income since I made that change months ago in regard to deposits. As some know I charge a 50% deposit on orders. I used to charge this on orders above $300.00 but after getting saddled with a couple projects that I had more into than the deposit this year I changed that number to $400.00. So I get paid at time of order on anything priced at $399.99 or less. Of the 11 cars I shipped for Xmas present projects 8 were already paid for when ordered back in Oct or Nov so that (3 balance due payments) and the cancellation of the 11 contracts over the last 30 days leaves John one broke ass unhappy diecast modder, LOL. December has always been my biggest month in terms of revenue and this month is my worse month EVER in the 5 years I have been doing this full time.
Easy to say, just finish some other projects and you will get paid, but thats not really the case here....... its not Mc Donald's boys !!!!! I cant just pop them out even though it might seem that way sometimes. So...... that combined with this little personal thing and then other problems for the new announcement means this year is just ending as a pile of shit waiting to get flushed. So all my customers and friends in blogging land lets all join hands (hey wait im not that kinda guy), ok, toast a drink of choice that this coming year will be a great one for all of us.
So here is the 29th of Dec, 2007 and just days away from the new year and my planned announcement of whats to come. I will leave you with this until Monday....and heck some might not even see this till next Wednesday so... either way here it is.
What does the future hold ? Well let me tell you a couple things IM creating here....with more to come.

Mid Engine Mustang... what Ford wishes they could build

For those of you who don't.... well its still all good. Projects in house are still on track to get done accordingly and probably better (yes I said better, LOL) since I might be able to take more time to work the fine details. Guess we will see.......

Hey John, sorry to read that you are sick. Ahhh... Holiday times, sometimes it's tough on you, LOL!
I really hope that you will get better soon. Thanks for the Minis/VP box/Cuda boot replacement info, I appreciate it!
I wonder what address you got for shipping them, because there's been address changes in the last year so, you might not get the right one.
Anyway take car man, get some rest! AZ must still be better than Qc, Canada with our 6 feet of snow!!! I would switch anytime!
