Friday, glorious Friday

Don't know why I typed that heading but hey its Friday..... and since Im NOT a drinker and Friday is my night out for dinner I guess maybe deep inside Im looking forward to tipping back a few cocktails, LOL.
So as we all know yesterday was painting day and here is a shot of the 6, ok 5 since the Vette got painted the day before, cars I shot. I was also going to paint the Eleanor convertible but the color didn't look right so I decided to wait and remix it.
The Black GTO is Starlight Black.... just cant tell with this early morning sun and the angle at which is shines down on the cars.
Pete's Inca Gold bird looks a little washed out, again the angle of the sun. These all turned out great and hopefully will be clear coated Sunday for assembly and shipment next week
Todays agenda includes painting the super secret convertible body I showed yesterday, the Eleanor body.... the 3 color flames on the 34 and the light Blue stripes on the 68 GT 500. Worse case scenario is they all get shot tomorrow and I still get to clear them all on Sunday. I am however almost out of clear and well , if I have to trek up to the supplier I need other colors too. One is a red tint and a green, blue, low solids black, the clear and thinner. Can you say $600.00..... cause Im sure it will be close to that. Ugh...... the time I hate the most, restocking, LOL.
So too update my life " As John's World Turns" or "The Dating Habits of a Dolt", lol, I will say I stopped at a different place yesterday where girl #1 works, LOL. Anyway..... this is Mimi's Cafe, national chain.... sit down higher end place. Food and a soda (tea for me) runs about $13.00 so its not like a Dennys. Anyway..... found out she (great green eyes) is very much now taken. Oh well... kinda blew this one off a while back anyway. But...... this is the place that opened in November right after Turkey Day and with the influx of snowbirds was packed to the gills all day long. I mean lines out the door and you could barely get a seat at the bar (holds like 10 people) to eat lunch. Mind you it was smart marketing on their part to open then.. but in the end the quality of the food was average at best. So much so that sent a long email to corporate explaining in depth my half dozen trips there and all that was wrong with the food on each trip.
The regional manager was impressed with the way I explained everything in detail and offered to make it right by sending me 4, $15.00 coupons to get my business back. See I explained that besides them there really was only Chili's in town and once the new Olive Garden, Applebees and Nicko Steak and Sushi open they will hard pressed to get the regulars back in the door if the quality didn't get better.
Anyway..... he sent the coupons and over the last 2 months I have used them sparingly. The first 2 times I went back the food was better but still had heat problems.... the 3rd time all was finally good but the place was dead at the height of the lunch rush which was proving my point.
So I decided yesterday to go use my last coupon. I got their at 12:15 and the place was dead. I sat at the bar....... chatted with my regular bartender/server girl....... also talked to Amy, girl #1, and while the food was perfect and all was good I had forgotten the coupon for the $15.00. LMAO....... what a dolt, LOL. So instead of eating free I have to pay my $13.00 but wait........ the server hands me this handy little coupon for $10.00 off my next meal. Its Mimi's was of trying to get the regular customers to come back. LOL........ little late don't ya think ? Oh well, I will go back... use this coupon and only have to pay $3.00 then the next time use the $15.00 one and probably never go back again as by then the other places will be open.
