Ahhhhhh its Friday !

Holy Crap Batman !!!!! It's already a crazy morning. UGH.

OK..... I was going to start this at about 7am this morning but got sidetracked with other business and now its 8:30. Well at least the other business was writing a contract for a customer but, from phone call to final contract email it was exactly an hour.

So I promised pictures and here they are..... couple shots of the Black GTO and a couple of the 68 Shelby and one of the Corvette.... though I might have already posted one I cant remember, LOL. I have to take another shot of the GTO's front end showing that pinstriping but we had a huge dust storm roll in while I was shooting these and didn't want to get caught in it. To those who have never been in a dust storm its like a blizzard but with sand. It is blinding and stingy  (sand pelting body) and can last from 2-3 minutes to 20-30 minutes. Yesterday it was a 20-30 minute one. The intensity of these is kinda cool....... looking at it heading to you it looks like huge dark cloud you would associate with a thunderstorm but then when it gets to you all you see is a wall of sand...... then nothing, LMAO.

It was funny last year after I had moved here and having never dealt with this I thought I was ok......... car in the garage..... though the garage door and service door were open and my windows where down. Oh did I learn a quick lesson..... blowing dust and sand will get in anything that isn't sealed tight.

Well anyway, yesterdays was a doozy and I had to cut picture taking short.

Here ya go though........

Note the thin pinstriping on the B pillar of the roof and the hood.

I had to wash this picture out to show the red carpet.

OK........ so early yesterday I was on the phone and emailing with the customer with the Atomic Orange Corvette. I did come to find out that there are 3 different formulas for that color and it was backed up by my guy at Dupont and he even provided a 3 color chip sample via email. I then forwarded this information to the customer and now we will see what happens. He wants me to do the "right" thing which is repaint the car for free. I offered to do what I think is the "right" thing and that is to split the difference with him to repaint the car. See, I provided the services that the contract stated and did my job as per the contract so to my its a completed done deal. He thinks since the color doesn't match he should be satisfied as he is the customer and the customer is always right.

This isn't really a pissing match, we are getting along fine just have different views on how to resolve this. I though will not offer anything more than what I have at this point. I do believe I am being more than fair in regard to this. The saga continues.

OK....... well since im way behind already thats it for today so.........

I'm out !

Very nice group of cars, John! That GTO really looks sweet. Good luck on that Vette, I've been following your discussion on that regard. Tough deal, no doubt. Keep us posted.
