Tires on the bus go round and round, LOL
Well......... thats a stupid title isn't it ? OK, maybe so but this is a tire related post today so its kinda fitting.
First off... I'm running way late so this will be quick, LMAO. Secondly, I'm not sure whats up with the blog but my page views as gone up.... sadly last Friday and Saturday they went up A LOT, like from 7-10 views a day to 95. Yes I typed 95... but there was a reason. Apparently someone decided to try and spam my blog. On top of the 95 views, 72 on Friday alone, I had 17 comments that were emailed to me. As many know I have to approve the comments before they make the blog..... so upon review I see they are all from garbled letters off a keyboard, like edrgihrrv, as a user name and the body of the comments was the same crap so I deleted and blocked all those IP addresses. Makes no sense to me why someone does this but hey ... they did and thats that.
I will say though that the views are up....... so im hoping it's more people reading and not just more span coming. Tuesday and Wednesday were 22-25.... that's realistic.... I hope, LOL.
OK..... now to the goodies. I do want to post pictures of a Jaguar I did for a customer thats a little confused. See he supplied the car for the project but now claims he also sent me another cheaper brand Jaguar so I could try and use the dashboard to make his car left hand drive. Problem with this is nowhere on the contract does it say convert or possible convert to left hand drive. This, on top of the fact I don't have the cheaper Jag diecast here makes me think he was thinking this and not conveying it to me. So I of course tell him, well go back and check however you mailed it and see when it was delivered. I have 2 places boxes get opened at..... this extra Jaguar is in neither of them. I then say, being I owned a real XKE roadster don't you think I would remember this first hand along with I would have tried to fit the dash while I was getting the interior ready for a repaint.
Oh well....... guess we will see what he comes up with. Said he was going to look for the shipping receipt and let me know. Heres the car...... this was the wire wheel conversion problem car plus a repaint, interior repaint and boot repaint which I have not done yet since I have to mix the color special.
The car is Jaguar Dark Blue with French Blue interior. He sent me all the samples, paint, interior leather color and boot fabric sample. The car is dead on. The pictures are a little washed out since I had to shoot these early in the morning and change the contrast a little.

OK......... back to wheels. As you know I have been creating some that are not made and the first ones pictured are the Corvette wheels created from the Lambo wheels. I posted a picture of the wheel before but not showing what his real wheels look like. He sent me stupid off angle shots of the wheels on the car but also included this cut out of the catalog picture so now you get the idea.

Now we have the 3 spoke wheels. As you see the pics of his real ones, the wheel I started with and the mock up wheel. Its pretty close but will need a little more fine tuning. I spend a few minutes on it yesterday but was tied up working on some other things. When done I will resin cast the wheel and shoot it in chrome like the Lambo/Vette wheel then put the spinners on them.

OK , like I said this is a short post. I will say that I have some new info on the Atomic Orange Corvette situation. I can understand why he was not satisfied as I got the car back and it is a different color then the chip he sent me. As in of the 3 shades his diecast was painted the darkest. His car is the lightest. More on that tomorrow.
OK........ I'm out !

John,
The more pics you post of the work you are doing make me more excited to see what you do to my 59 Chevy Impala mod. The 3 spoke Wheels you are fabricating are fantastic. I am so impressed with your art. Looking forward to your next blogs.

I take back what ever I said about you and your "bad eyes/Mother's warning".
To create those wheels, you've got to have a great set of viewers or a really big magnifier. Maybe I don't take it all back? How big is the magnifier you use? LMAO!!!!
Seriously though, those one of a kind wheels are freakin' incredible! You are truly a master craftsman (can I get off my knees now?).
Awesome work man . . . . both customers will be very happy, I'm sure, when they get the finished product in hand.
Later!
