Cough, Cough, Hack, Spit... Argh !

Ugh......thats about it..... least how I feel that is. As you guys know I was getting sick on Thursday and was sicker on Friday..... though went to Chili's since I was supposed to meet Kim there but she again blew me off....... ugh, women, who needs them even if they do have great asses, LOL.

So Saturday I vegged out all day for a couple reasons.... first being I was sick, second was I had the installer from Direct TV coming to hook me up. Yeah....... right, LOL. OK, so here is my rant and story about Dish TV and Direct TV.

I have Dish Network..... have had it for a year now....... works ok..... tends to go out when its real windy. I had the dish itself break 3 months after it was installed and had to pay $79.00 to get it fixed. Long story short..... its not service I would recommend. So about a month ago my debt card was compromised with an unauthorized charge so I canceled it and got a new one. Well my Dish bill gets paid off that card every month and I forgot to call them to update it. So when they tried to bill the old debt card it wouldn't go through and they shut off the service. Ok, no big deal.... I called them to give them the new number and all is well right ?

No !!.... now because they had shut it off they wanted the bill that didn't get paid and the new bill not due until the 12th paid before restoring the service. Im like WTF ? That bill isn't due yet, im not paying that and the guy says says well im sorry but because the service was shut off thats our policy. So I politely say..... well that's fine then.... since I don't have a contract with you I will be canceling this and switching to DIRECT TV, your competitor.

I then hang up and call Direct..... come to find out they are cheaper and can be here in a day or two for installation. I proceed to order they service and the install was to be done Saturday between 8-12 am. This is perfect  I think since I wanted to veg out a little then I could run into town later Saturday and do my shopping and such and all is good. Well....... that was the plan. First off I get a call as 11:45 from the installer.....tells me he had his starter go out and would be late. OK....... you just knew this now ? See the number on caller ID was a house number... not a cell number meaning he was still home. I then say, well when can you be here and he says..... I don't know I have no idea where you are. I then tell him and he says ok , thats like an hour away so I could be there about 1. I then say........ so your sure you will be here by then and he says...... im pretty sure, LMAO. I said, ok  how about this, what time works for YOU.... 2-3-4 ?? He says 3pm would work..... I said ok then you will be here at 3pm ?  He agrees and thats that.

Mind you I did vent my frustration at waiting until 15 minutes before is due time to call me and tell me he had problems. On top of this his not knowing where he was going and then saying he could be here at 1 but still wasn't sure he could be. UGH !

So I take my shower, head to town and do my running around to make sure im back by 3. I actually get back by 2:45 so all is good. Then at 3:30 he calls me and says.... I cant make it there yet.....      ARGH !!! WTF !!!   I said what ???...... he said hes is having a bad day..... but he will come later...... 5-6-7 pm...... im like NO, we are done.... im canceling the service at which time he panics and says, ok , I will come tomorrow, even though its my day off. Your day off ?? Sure the hell looks like you took Saturday off ya asshole. See he called from that same home number so he hadn't even left that location yet. On top of ...... its 3:30 and I say.... so if you knew you were not going to be here by 3 when did you wait until 3:30 to call me. His reply........ I don't know. I don't know........ great work ethic huh ?

So at this point he is all, I will come first thing in the morning at 8am..... or whatever time you want me there. I said....... well then I want you here between 8-12 THIS MORNING, which is when you were supposed to be here. That confused the hell out of him and I basically said, im done dealing with this. This is horrible service and I haven't even had it installed yet...... I will be canceling  so don't worry about me anymore and hung up.

At this point I called Direct and got an idiot in CS who offered me the $100.00 setup time guarantee. Yeah, well in my book they already owe me $200.00 but I doubt I will see that. Sadly.... the service is $23.00 less per month so I will be changing over but man this guy should be fired.

Ok, I will touch on what I did get done real quick. For starters the guy with the flame engined Vette added a couple more little things to his car that I had to do. Now I can hopefully today get that final assembled and shipped along with the Xmas Problem Camaro, LOL, yes it came back AGAIN.. this time because the rear window came unglued so that got fixed and it will be leaving again today hopefully. I will also be packing up my customer Doug's 6 Mustang projects I did and get them shipped to his CA location.

I did get the funny car body repainted  (remember back, trial with new clear coat) and the stripes on the redone Eleanor convertible. Then I got the 67 Chevelle with the smoothed and fused top painted Black and lastly before I ran out of gas the Inca Gold 57 T-Bird. I had planned on painting the other 4 birds too but there are so many parts and my energy level was shot so all I got done was the Inca Gold one. Mind you it turned out perfect and thats a word I rarely use here. Perfect... as in I could assemble this without clear coat or polishing and it would be more than acceptable. Of course thats NOT how I do things but since I do have good and bad paint days it figures the day im sick the paint flows perfectly, LOL.

Ok..... I need to call Direct TV so ......

    I had DirecTv for years and loved it. I had suspended the service last year when I was doing alot of work on the house, and as soon as I finish the 2 projects that I have going on right now that service will be turned back on. Sorry to hear about Kim.
